GWSB and more than 20 Master of Business Administration (MBA) students. The visit focused on the two hot topics of "Global Trade Strategy" and "Palm Oil Industry Development", aiming to build a bridge between theory and practice for the students of the prestigious university, with a warm atmosphere and frequent interactions.
As the top college at George Washington University (founded in 1928), GWSB is known for its reputation for academic excellence (full-time MBA, Masters in Business Analytics, etc. are perennially ranked in the top 100 globally) and its mission to develop future business leaders.
During the exchange activity, Mr Zhang Yang, General Manager of CCFT Holdings Pte. Ltd., warmly welcomed the delegation of teachers and students from GWSB. Combining the development history of the Group and the current situation of each business segment, he vividly analysed our innovative mode, strategic planning and representative cases in the field of bulk oils and fats. In the face of the current complex international trade environment, Mr Zhang also frankly shared our strategic thinking in coping with the challenges, especially under the influence of the trade friction between China and the United States, which triggered a great interest and warm discussion among the students and teachers.
The interactive session pushed the atmosphere to the climax. Students were eager to ask questions and discuss the cutting-edge issues such as "Supply Chain Optimisation in Emerging Markets" and "Strategies for Enterprises to Cope with Trade Barriers". Mr Zhang and our business experts were very insightful and gave vivid answers with their practical experience, and the scene was full of applause and sparks of ideas were bursting out in the exchange.
"The visit was so inspiring!" A student representative exclaimed, "The trade theories in books became incredibly vivid, especially understanding how companies make critical decisions based on multiple complex factors in a rapidly changing market, which gave us a disruptive perception of 'real life'. China Merchant's strategic vision and resilience to challenges is impressive."
Mr Zhang highly recognised the value of this exchange, stating that the cutting-edge thinking and sharp questions brought by GWSB teachers and students also provided our company with valuable external perspectives.
